Superstar comedian Vice Ganda reaffirmed her loyalty to ABS-CBN, her home network, amid the continuing challenges it faces.
There had been an escalating dispute within the Lopez family, prompting a proposal to shut down the ABS-CBN Corp. during board discussions. Several celebrities expressed support for ABS-CBN, and the most recent to affirm her loyalty to the media company is Vice Ganda, one of its top artists and superstars.
In a recent statement, Vice stressed that she has no plans to leave the company that shaped her and brought her to immense stardom and success. She intends to stay with the corporation for as long as it continues to face struggles. She expressed her deep sense of gratitude and commitment.
“Wala naman akong ibang puwedeng gawin kundi ipagdasal ang ABS-CBN,” she said. This statement reflected her loyalty, faith, and solidarity with the thousands of employees and creatives who remain part of the organization.
Vice added, “Nag-start nung natanggalan ng prangkisa. Wala naman akong puwedeng ibang gawin kundi ipagdasal at suportahan sila. Mananatili akong kasama nila habang lumalaban sila sa mga pagsubok nila.”
She added that ABS-CBN goes beyond providing entertainment to the people. It brings genuine service to the people, especially those who are in need.
Amid the current situation, she found her purpose. What she does now is no longer about her. She can easily leave and still live comfortably, but her goal now is bigger than the personal ones she holds. It is not about earning money anymore but serving a bigger and greater purpose.
“Minsan kasi ang sakit-sakit na. May masakit kang mababasa o maririnig na parang [sinasabi ko sa sarili ko], ‘Tama na nga. Kung ayaw ninyo, huwag na. Hindi naman na ako magugutom bukas.’ Pero at the end of the day, this isn’t just about me or about earning money. It’s more than that. Doing something now is bigger or has a greater purpose than my personal goal,” she expressed.
