IVANA ALAWI – Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi shares her sister’s ordeal in the past months the reason why she’s MIA in her previous vlogs.
Mona Alawi and the youngest in the family of Kapamilya actress Ivana Alawi. It’s not a secret to the public that she has diabetes and she’s also an artist known for her television show Munting Heredera, Aso ni San Roque, and Luna Blanca among others. She was actually the one who persuaded and encouraged Ivana to do vlogging.
As of this posting, Ivana now has over 13 million subscribers on Youtube which she gained in just over a year of vlogging. Mona, her brother, and their mother often appear in Ivana’s vlogs and aside from the entertainment she brings to people through her video, they are also admired for their values and generosity to other people.
And in the recent past episodes of Ivana in her channel, people noticed that her sister has been missing in action in her several videos and they have been searching for her. Finally addressing these queries, Mona and Ivana did a sit-down vlog with their signature mukbang session featuring foreign cuisines and answered what happened to Mona in the past few months.
As much as many people are aware, Mona has type 1 diabetes and what happened to her previously has something to with her complication. In their video, Mona shared that she’s not fine recently and added that her sugar level even before was uncontrolled. But as of now, she has been using this pump and since then, her blood sugar level reached the normal level for the first time in 10 years accordingly.
And since her blood sugar level normalized for the first time ever, this unusual happening was not well-received by her body because it’s something “new”. She shared, “Nagulat yung katawan… sanay kasi sila sa mataas na sugar so yung nerves ko parang nagulat siya, nagkaroon ako ng diabetic neuropathy.”
She assured her supporters that she’ll get better soon because it is something curable. Diabetic neuropathy is a type of nerve damage that happens to people with diabetes often damaging the nerves in the legs and feet. This is a serious diabetes complication and as for Mona, it would take some time for her to fully recover.
They furthered that her health condition has also affected her physical growth.
