The Filipina registered to a government facility on April 18 because she was a close friend. She tested positive for the same mutation as well.

The two other OFWs tested positive for the same variant on May 5. The Filipina’s mother tested positive on May 7. The Indian engineer and the Filipina, on the other hand, did not tell Hong Kong authorities about this information.

“So we don’t know why they did not tell us but they might forget about the gathering or they deliberately hid the information from us,” the Hong Kong Information Services Department said.
