What could be the reason why Judy Ann Santos turned down to play the lead role?
JUDY ANN SANTOS – “Drama Queen” Judy Ann Santos declines offer to play the lead role of ‘Doctor Foster’ PH and here’s the alleged reason why.
BBC Studios hit psychological drama Doctor Foster or South Korea’s record-breaking series entitled “The World of a Married Couple” will also be having a Philippine adaptation and the ABS-CBN network confirmed doing this. In some rumors circulating online, there were some famous names already dropped to play the iconic roles.

According to rumors, the owners of Doctor Foster’s rights wanted drama queen Judy Ann Santos to play the lead role and Fangirl lead actress Charlie Dizon to portray the mistress role. There were also those who said that new Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez is being considered to portray the antagonistic role.
Aside from Judy Ann, actress Angel Aquino is also said to be the best fit to play the main role and actor Paulo Avelino for the husband’s character. And finally putting an end to all these rumors, the final stars to portray the said characters have already been revealed.
Jodi Sta. Maria leads for the wife’s role while the husband is to be played by Zanjoe Marudo. The son’s role is given to Zaijan Jaranilla and the mistress’ character was assigned to Sue Ramirez.
With the lead role being heard offered to Judy Ann, showbiz reporter and comedian Ogie Diaz revealed something. In his latest vlog where he expressed understanding as to why Maja Salvador rejected an “Init Sa Magdamag” role opposite to her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson’s role, led to sharing details about Juday also rejecting the “Doctor Foster” role.
Accordingly, the role in Doctor Foster requires a lot of love scenes to do and this is why Juday rejected the offer. Turning it down is her way to show respect for her marriage with Ryan Agoncillo, her husband.
Ogie shared in his vlog, “Parang si Judy Ann Santos, hindi tinanggap yung ‘World of the Married’ kasi nga may maseselang eksena doon at bilang respeto niya yun kay Ryan Agoncillo, sa asawa niya.”
