Here’s what Janine Gutierrez shared about her showbiz career
New Kapamilya star Janine Gutierrez revealed the reason why she said she would enter the show business before.
For almost a decade, Janine has proven her caliber in acting. She already received recognitions for her acting prowess on the big screen. After being a Kapuso for almost 10 years, she was given a chance to be a Kapamilya despite the TV giant’s denied franchise.
After she finally signed the contract as the newest Kapamilya, fans expressed excitement for her upcoming projects. It is inevitable that her Best Actress awards put her career on a higher notch.
However, Janine Gutierrez, based on the article from Bandera, admitted that at first, she thought of not entering the entertainment industry.
“Ayokong mag-artista!” she used to answer in the past when her parents would ask her. That was what in her mind and heart in the past because her family is already in showbiz.
Her grandparents Christopher de Leon and Nora Aunor are among the prominent stars of all time. Janine’s parents Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher have also made their names in the industry. It is also known that her Mamita Pilita Corrales is one of the respected showbiz personalities.
“Parang nu’ng bata ako, I was super apprehensive. As in every time people would ask me kung mag-aartista ako, I would say ayoko,” Janine Gutierrez shared.
She added as a “pasaway” with the intention to make her own choice, she would express that she did not want to be in showbiz.
“I think, na-realize ko rin when I got older, I just wanted to be sure na kung mag-aartista nga ako, it’s because gusto ko, hindi dahil pinilit ako or hindi dahil wala akong choice. So, ayun, in the end, ako din naman ang nag-decide to try it out,” Janine Gutierrez revealed.
