It has been confirmed that ABS-CBN will do the Doctor Foster Philippine adaptation, who do you think will portray the lead characters?
DOCTOR FOSTER – The BBC’s hit Doctor Foster Philippine adaptation will be under the ABS-CBN entertainment announced on Wednesday, April 13.
The hit psychological drama of BBC Studios Doctor Foster will be having a Philippine adaptation as confirmed by the ABS-CBN Entertainment. It has been announced on April 13, 2021, that a deal has been made about the story of a wife who’s suspecting her husband having an affair with another woman. This series has already been adapted by several countries and the latest one was done by South Korea entitled The World of a Married Couple which is a top-rating drama.
In a report from PEP, a source has accordingly revealed that the owners of Doctor Foster’s rights wanted Judy Ann Santos to portray the lead character after they watched some of her performances and got impressed by it. And the same source also told that Fangirl lead actress Charlie Dizon was pressed to the role of the mistress but in another report, another actress is also being considered and that is Janine Gutierrez, the newest artist of ABS-CBN from GMA.
Another actress being considered to play the lead role apart from Juday is Angel Aquino, who is currently a part of Ang Probinysano. As per the same source of PEP, Paulo Avelino is considered for the husband’s role. SVP Format Sales for BBC Studios Andre Renaud expressed in a statement that he is “confident” that the series will be a hit among Filipinos and honored that they get to do this ABS-CBN Entertainment which will produce the project.
