Barangay Councilor Illegally Selling Petroleum Products in a Bottle Arrested
A barangay kagawad or councilor was arrested after caught illegally selling petroleum products placed in a bottle in their village.
Police arrested the 55-year-old village councilor for allegedly illegal selling of petroleum products in Barangay Nabannagan East, Lasam, Tuguegarao, Cagayan. The suspect was identified as Anthony Galicia.

According to Lasam police chief Police Major Reynaldo Viernes, they received a report that Galicia has been selling petroleum products in a bottle without a permit. As a result, they placed Galicia under surveillance.
One of his operatives pretended to be a poseur-buyer and managed to buy a bottle of unleaded gasoline worth P100 to confirm the information. Police then conducted the entrapment operation which led to the arrest of the suspect.
Authorities seized plastic and bottle containers with diesel and unleaded gasoline valued at P7,500 and P100 boodle money. Galicia and the pieces of evidence were taken to the Lasam police custody. Charges will be filed against the suspect.
