Immigration Employee Arrested During Buy-Bust Operation Over Illegal Drugs

A Bureau of Immigration (BI) employee arrested over illegal drugs during the buy-bust operation conducted in Valenzuela City.

A 30-year-old male employee of the Bureau of Immigration was jailed over illegal drugs. The immigration employee was nabbed after a buy-bust operation was conducted by the authorities in Valenzuela City.

According to the report of Remate, Valenzuela City Police identified the suspect as Kevin Gabriel Fernandez, 30. The suspect is a resident of #31 Marcelo St., Menlo Subdivision, Dalandanan of the said city.

Based on the investigation conducted by PSMS Fortunato Candido in charge of the case, at around 5:00 pm, the personnel of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Valenzuela City Police led by PLT Joel Madregalejo at #007 Marcelo St., Menlo Subdivision resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

According to the police report, 3 grams of illegal drugs called “shabu” with a standard drug price of P27,200.00, P500 buy-bust money, P150 cash, cellphone, and pouch were recovered from the suspect.

The suspect is currently detained in the detention cell of the Valenzuela City Police. Fernandez is now facing case RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
