LOL main host Billy Crawford has this reaction when Luis Manzano is now the one hosting his program in ABS-CBN before.
BILLY CRAWFORD – This is the reaction of Billy Crawford when his good friend Luis Manzano took over his place as the host of “Your Face Sounds Familiar”.
Among the well-loved hosts of the Kapamilya network before is Billy Crawford. He has hosted several shows already such as Pinoy Dream Academy, Pilipinas Got Talent, Your Face Sounds Familiar, Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, Little Big Shots, and Idol Philippines. He also judged a couple of reality competition shows like World of Dance Philippines and Your Moment.
Aside from that, he was also among the regular hosts of the noontime show Its Showtime before and known as the perfect pair of Luis Manzano when it comes to hosting. However, when the Kapamilya network shut down, Crawford left and became a Kapatid in TV5.
One of the programs he hosted before, the Your Face Sounds Familiar, returned for a new season and it introduced a new host. It is his close friend Manzano. What did he feel about this?
In an interview with DZRH, he expressed that he is actually happy. He was also elated by the fact that his friend reached out to him and inform him about this as a sign of respect for being the former host of the said show. He commended Manzano for doing it as he rarely meets people in the industry who would show that level of respect.
“Alam mo, sa totoo lang, bihira tayo makakita ng tao sa industriya na magkakaroon ng respeto ng ganun, na alam mong magtatanong lang sa ‘yo na hindi naman niya kailangan. Nagpasintabi siya… saludo talaga ako sa taong iyon na alam mong tunay mong kaibigan,” he said.
In the same interview, he clarified that even before the network shut down, his contract with them has already expired. And when it happened, he was among the people who went in limbo. They got lost and being a father now led him to do that leap of faith – to transfer to another network. He just wishes people would understand what he did and his practical reasons behind it.
