Billy Crawford, Coleen Garcia Almost Migrate Abroad After Shutdown of ABS-CBN
BILLY CRAWFORD – Singer-tv host Billy Crawford revealed he and his wife Coleen Garcia thought of migrating to another country after the ABS-CBN shutdown.
It was last 2008 when Billy Crawford officially became an ABS-CBN talent. Since then, he became and turned to be one of the most in-demand hosts of the tv network.
Billy hosted programs such as ‘Its Showtime,’ ‘ASAP,’ ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar,’ ‘Pilipinas Got Talent,’ ‘Search For The Idol Philippines,’ ‘Little Big Shots,’ and ‘Pinoy Boyband Superstar.’ When the Kapamilya network shutdown last July 10, he admitted how down he was feeling and thought of leaving.
Billy Crawford said starting a family without a job added to the heavy feeling he felt then. He later received an offer from TV5. He’s now one of the hosts of ‘Lunch Out Loud.’
During the virtual press con of his new game show called “The Wall Philippines,” the host admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic and the shutdown of ABS-CBN really affected him and his wife Coleen Garcia but also gave them the season also gave them their son Amari.

Billy Crawford revealed that he and Coleen even thought of migrating after the ABS-CBN shutdown. “Marami-rami rin kaming pinagdaanan pero it also worked to our blessing kasi through the pandemic season dito pinanganak ang anak namin ni Coleen. No’ng nawalan kami ng trabaho noong ABS-CBN (shutdown), may mga times na nag-uusap kami mag-asawa na, ‘Ano gagawin natin? Benta na lang kaya natin lahat tapos lipat tayo ng ibang bansa?,” he shared.
The celebrity couple, however, trusted God and moved to make progress again. Billy now has multiple tv shows on TV5.
“May mga decisions tayo na kailangang gawin kasi hindi madaling mag-tanaw ng positivity sa lahat ng mga negativity sa paligid mo. Pero ang number one na natutunan namin is nagtiwala kami sa Panginoon, nagdasal kami. Iniyakan naming pamilya kung ano dapat namin gawin. Slowly we’re climbing above that wall,” he said.
