SARA DUTERTE – Supporters of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte launched a movement “Run Sara Van” in Cebu City.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s term is about to end and his daughter Sara Duterte emerged as one of the prospective frontrunners of the 2022 Presidential elections. Despite his stern admonition that his daughter will not run, their supporters continue to egg on Sara to run for president.
Tarpaulin posters urging the Davao City mayor to run for president have reached cities like Iloilo, Quezon City, and Cebu. Lots of people and groups have already expressed their support for the politician.
In a previous article, Sara Duterte addressed the statement of her supporters who have been persuading her to run for president in next year’s election. The presidential daughter told them to wait until 2034.
Sara said she will run for the presidency if the opposition will support her candidacy and help her win. “Ang isang Pangulo may anim na taon lang para tumulong, di ko magagawa maayos ang trabaho kung hindi tayo magkaisa,” she said.
Based on a report from Cebu Daily News, Sara Duterte’s supporters in Cebu City, ‘Partido Kalikasan,’ launched a movement called “Run Sara Van” to encourage her to run next year. The launching was held at the Fuente Osmeña Circle yesterday, Feb. 27 through a motorcade.
Partido Kalikasan believes that she will be able to continue her dad’s projects and continue the “improvements” he started. They hoped to gather 5 million signatures in their campaign called ‘Rise with Inday Sara Economic Sustainability’ to push Sara to run for the presidency.
The supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo also conducted their own motorcade to urger her to run in the 2022 election. There is also a campaign for her in Negros called “Negros for Leni.” Former Negros Occidental governor Rafael Coscolluela is one of the leaders of the group.
