Fans are getting excited about the movie of Vic Sotto and Vice Ganda
The announcement of the movie The Greatest Showdown, starring Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto and It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda, made fans suggest a possible crossover between their respective noontime shows.
It is expected that this movie, which is directed by award-winning director Jun Lana, would be part of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The idea is for Bossing Vic to guest on It’s Showtime and for Meme Vice to appear on Eat Bulaga, based on the article in Abante.
An insider from the movie production said that while it’s a great idea, nothing has been discussed yet. For many years, the two noontime shows have been known as rivals.
However, last Saturday, Vice and Vic greeted each other on air, on their respective shows. This made their fans so excited.
Regarding the possible crossover, the insider didn’t say it was unlikely to happen, but since it hasn’t been talked about, there’s no certainty regarding its possibility.
However, the promotion for The Greatest Showdown would be spectacular if a crossover actually took place.
During the mall show at Gateway 2 last Sunday, which was held to formally announce The Greatest Showdown, fans were delighted when Bossing Vic greeted the “Madlang People,” and Meme Vice gave a shout-out to the “Dabarkads.”
Fans also remarked that the movie starring Bossing Vic and Meme Vice would be a massive hit if it makes it into the 2026 MMFF, as the loyal viewers of both noontime shows would surely support their first-ever movie collaboration.
It is already being predicted with great confidence that the movie starring Vic Sotto and Vice Ganda will top the 2026 MMFF. To recall, in past years, the movies of the two comedians topped the blockbuster turnouts.
