Regine Velasquez Admits 'Birit' Prowess Not the Same Anymore

Regine Velasquez talks about how her voice changed over the years

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez admitted that her “birit” prowess is not the same now compared to her younger years.

Undoubtedly, Regine has a remarkable career when it comes to music. This is aside from the various acting and endorsement projects that she did and are still doing until now.

Many artists look up to her as their inspiration and many also dreams to work with her. Indeed her achievements are worth to give inspiration to many who aspire to be in the entertainment industry.

However, in an article in PEP, Regine Velasquez admitted that there is a point when insecurities come in.

“As you get older pala, you get insecure, you feel the insecurity na because, of course, you’re not the same anymore, and my voice is not the same as before. My body is not the same, my face, everything is not the same, so you feel now all the insecurities. And that’s normal. Siguro, sa akin lang is to accept what I have become now,” the Songbird shared.

Despite the change in her voice and the insecurities, Regine Velasquez does not let these factors affect her performance.

“And, I mean, I worked so hard, more than thirty years I’ve been in this business so I should be a litte bit of… ma-proud naman ako sa sarili ko nang konti, alam mo iyon? Kasi parang meron naman din akong na-achieve,” she said.

When asked how she takes care of her voice, the Songbird said, “By just using it!”. She shared that the more she uses her voice the more it is stretched and so it becomes powerful.
