Freedom concert of Regine Velasquez has been postponed

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez announced that her upcoming concert titled Freedom is postponed because she was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Regine has prepared a treat for her fans on February 14 as the whole world is celebrating the love month. Amid the pandemic, almost everything in the entertainment industry went virtual.

For her virtual concert, the Songbird aims to give entertainment even though she will not be seen face-to-face by her fans. She even shared in a previous interview that she has prepared a new repertoire that is far from what she is used to performing.

However, her preparation has to wait for a longer time as she is now in quarantine. Regine Velasquez shared in her recent Twitter post the official statement from her home network regarding the postponement of her Valentine’s Day concert.

In the statement, it was said that tickets that were bought will be honored on the new schedule that is yet to be announced.

“The health and safety of our artist and staff is our priority and we are thankful for your support and understanding,” the joint statement from ABS-CBN Events and IME said.

Regine confirmed this through her caption. On the other hand, she said that she and he family are safe.

Yes we are postponing the #freedom concert because I was exposed to someone who tested positive. Ok ako at ang family ko so don’t worry. We will announce the concert date as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your understanding,” the Songbird said.

Several fans of Regine Velasquez offered prayers for her and her family.
