Municipality of Ternate, Cavite Charges Ecological Fee to Motorists Entering Kaybiang Tunnel
A lot of motorists got surprised after the municipality of Ternate, Cavite charged an ecological fee before entering Kaybiang Tunnel.
The Facebook page “Hiring.ph” has shared the photos of numerous motorcycle riders queuing beside the road of Ternate, Cavite to pay an ecological fee. The post is now circulating online and elicits comments from netizens.
A lot of motorcycle riders got shocked after the municipality of Ternate, Cavite has started to charge an ecological fee worth P20.00. The massive amount of riders heading to Kaybiang queued up to pay the fee.
The municipality of Ternate, Cavite has issued an ordinance prescribing a tourism ecological fee. The ordinance would also impose penalty fees for motorists who will commit traffic violation within the town.
Kaybiang Tunnel opened in 2013 that runs through Mount Palay-Palay. The road tunnel is one of the most favorite destinations of motorcycle riders and it is very popular among motorists. The 300-meter tunnel links the towns of Ternate, Cavite and Nasugbu, Batangas.

Ilang motorista ang nabulaga ngayong araw ng linggo sa kanilang nabasa na bagong ordinansa ng bayan ng ternate. Bawat rider kasi ay kailangan na magbayad ng 20 pesos bilang ecological fee.
Dahil sa dami ng rider ang pupunta ng kaybiang ay kailangan munang pumila at magbayad.”
