Officials of Barangay in Sampaloc, Manila Seek Help to Recover Stolen Virgin Mary Statue

An antique Blessed Virgin Mary statue got stolen from a barangay in Sampaloc, Manila, and the officials sought help to recover the image.

On Thursday (January 28, 2021), the barangay officials of Brgy. 581 are now looking for the statue of Blessed Virgin Mary after it has been stolen by unidentified suspects. The rock statue has been displayed along the garden of the village.

A barangay official identified as Glo Camposano said that the residents were after discovering that the statue gone missing. The suspects think that they could earn a huge amount if they would sell the statue.

The CCTV footage of the barangay did not caught the incident. The officials are urging the public to report any sightings. People could contact the Facebook page of Brgy. 581 Zone 57 for any updates and information.

The Blessed Virgin Mary image is one of the most popular images that can be found in Catholic Churches. It can be also found in the houses or buildings of other Catholic devotees as a respect to Mary.
