Child Abuse Suspect Shot to Death After Grabbing Gun of Police in Davao City
A suspect of child abuse to his own kid in Davao City was shot to death after he intentionally grabbed the gun of police watching him.
According to the report of GMA News, an inmate in Davao City was killed after allegedly snatching a gun while in police custody, on Wednesday. The male inmate would have been taken to the prosecutor’s office for inquest in connection with the accusation that he molested his own daughter.
But according to police, he suddenly grabbed a gun. When they passed the desk officer he suddenly snatched the gun from an escort.
“Parang medyo tuliro na siya, so makalampas sila dun sa desk officer bigla niyang inagaw ang baril nung isang escort,” ayon kay Police Colonel Kirby Kraft, director ng Davao City Police.

Kraft added that there was a scuffle and they fell down. As a result, the snatched gun exploded and hit the suspect. “Nagkaroon ng scuffle, natumba sila, so pumutok yung baril.”
The suspect was arrested on January 1 after complaining of rape by his minor son. This is not the first time a suspect has been killed while in police custody.
Last November, a suspect with the same charges was killed after allegedly fighting in General Santos City. It was August when an inmate allegedly grabbed a gun from a police inspector in Mandaluyong City. He allegedly fought before jumping from the second floor due to extreme panic.
