Divisoria Shoppers Continue to Increase to Buy Gifts Amid Pandemic
The number of Divisoria shoppers in Metro Manila continues to increase to buy gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
10 days before the Christmas Day, the numbers of shoppers along Divisoria continue to increase as the Christmas season approaches. Most shoppers are looking for clothes as gift for their family, friends, and loves ones.
The stores along Ilaya Street in Tondo and the stalls in Binondo are already operating until midnight to accommodate shoppers and customers. Most shoppers are buying gifts for young children.
Shoppers have been already making strategies to save money when buying gifts and stuff for the upcoming holiday season amid the health crisis. Blouse for kids is worth P150 while ‘terno’ pajama is worth P180 for two pairs.
Customers also bought sweatshirts and jackets as gifts for elderlies while gift wrappers cost P4.00 per piece from its previous price P1.00 to P3.00.

Store owners revealed that the sales this year is too low compared to their income last year. It only shows that the COVID-19 pandemic severely affects the country’s economy.
