Thirdy Ravena Tested Positive for COVID-19 , Japan Basketball League Confirms
THIRDY RAVENA – San-en NeoPhoenix confirmed that the young Filipino basketabll player tested positive for COVID-19.
COVID-19 is undeniably the biggest global challenge this 2020. Over 200 countries and territories across the globe have recorded cases of the new coronavirus disease.
The symptoms of COVID-19 may be similar to the signs of flu – sore throat, fever, breathing difficulty, and cough. However, a person may also be asymptomatic or showing no signs at all but still positive for the disease.
The Philippines is one of the countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19. As of this writing, the Department of Health (DOH) has logged a total of 425,918 cases of the disease including 8,255 deaths and 387,616 recoveries.

Abroad, there are also Filipinos who tested positive for COVID-19. Recently, the basketball team of former UAAP star Thirdy Ravena in Japan confirmed that he tested positive for coronavirus.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, San-en NeoPhoenix said that Thirdy Ravena reported his poor physical condition on Thursday morning. His body temperature was taken and it was at 38.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the report, Ravena went to Toyohashi City Health Center and took a PCR test. The following day, his test result came out and he tested positive for COVID-19.
Ravena’s Japan league said that his body temperature has dropped to 36.9 degrees Celsius at 10:00 p.m. of Friday. His sore throat is eased now and he has not lost his sense of taste and smell.
San-en NeoPhoenix also reported that Thirdy Ravena is receiving medical treatment at home. The other players and staff of the team were also at home and no one is showing symptoms of COVID-19.
