Male Vendor Expresses Dismay After He Allegedly Experienced Discrimination For Selling ‘Ulam’

A male vendor revealed that he allegedly experienced discrimination for selling ‘ulam’ although he had a bachelor’s degree.

A Facebook user named Andrew Pineda has shared that he allegedly experienced discrimination for selling ‘ulam’ although he completed an education course. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Pineda expressed his disappointment to several individuals who were degrading him for his livelihood. He said that some people discriminates him for having no stable job even after graduating in college.

Andrew defended himself and explained he and his mother were doing their very best just to earn money in a decent way to provide the necessities of the family. He stressed out that he is just trying a good son to his parents.

The vendor said that he is proud of his work for now amid the coronavirus pandemic and he just want to inspire other people.

“An uneducated human being said: Diba Kumuha ng kursong Educ yan? Hindi pa ba siya nagtuturo? Hala, sayang dapat hanap kana work.

In myself: Ayaw ko sa lahat ay yung iniinsulto o minamaliit mga magulang ko de baling ako nalang e. kasi ang magulang ko nabubuhay lang sila sa puro sipag at tiyaga mairaos lang kami buong pamilya.

Opo tindero, kami mama ko taga tinda ng almusal at ulam pero sa ganitong paraan napapakita ko pong edukado ako at hanggat nabubuhay ang magulang ko patuloy ko po silang tutulungan at susuportahan. Ang mahalaga may silbi at sense tayo sa lipunan at hindi pagiging (toxic) ang inaatupag at pinagkaka abalahan.

I just want to try insipire others especially mga kabataan to be educated enough about sa hindi nakakahiya ang pagtitinda at lalong lalo na sa hanap buhay ng ating magulang kaya iwasan mag inarte dapat maging madiskarte lamang tayo sa panahon ng kagipitan wag tayo magcomplain kung bakit ganito? ganyan? Tandaan po natin na masama ang magkumpara at dapat stay humble lang tayo kahit ano pa ang marating natin sa buhay. Spread goodvibes Thank You😇.”
