The heartbreaking photos of a poor kamote vendor selling his products amid heavy rain breaks the hearts of the netizens.

Many Filipino people are now struggling with their finances after some of our countrymen have lost their jobs and livelihoods due to the coronavirus pandemic. The health crisis does not only affect the public’s health but also the global economy.

A Facebook user named Cindz Mallari-Rodriguez has shared the heartbreaking photos of a poor man selling kamote (Sweet Potatoes) along the sidewalk. The photos are now circulating online and elicit comments from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that the poor vendor is shaking and wet to due to the inclement weather condition. However, he continue to sell sweet potatoes just to earn money to provide the necessities of his family.

Rodriguez said that the elderly vendor can be found along Libertad near a garment store (Galactus). She also urged her husband to buy some sweet potatoes to help the vendor so he could go home.

Hi guys, if may makakadaan sa inyo along libertad po harap ng bilihan ng tela (Galactus). May makikita po kayong nagtitinda ng kamote. Pls po bilhan po natin sya. Nanginginig na po kasi sya at basang basa.
