Sheryl Cruz Remembers German Moreno as He Celebrates 4th Birthday in Heaven
SHERYL CRUZ – Veteran actress Sheryl Cruz paid tribute to the Master Showman German Moreno on his birthday.
Popular TV host German “Kuya Germs” Moreno was the host of the Filipino youth-oriented talent and variety show “That’s Entertainment.” He died of cardiac arrest on January 8, 2016. He was 82.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, love teams of the show reunited virtually to treat their fans. They did a cover of Starship’s hit song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now.”
The video was uploaded by singer-actor Janno Gibbs. The video showed individual recordings from Romnick Sarmenta, Manilyn Reynes, Keempee de Leon, Tina Paner, Monching Gutierrez, and Sheryl Cruz. All of them gained prominence through Kuya Germ’s show.

Sheryl Cruz remembered German Moreno as he celebrates his 4th birthday in heaven. In her Instagram post, she recalled her wonderful memories with the prominent host.
“I am very fortunate to have been blessed with a tatay like him who helped me hone my talents in acting, singing, dancing, and hosting in the entertainment industry starting with the youth-oriented variety program, ‘That’s Entertainment’ as well as GMA’s ‘Super Show…”
“Kuya Germs is like a teacher and a father to me in the workplace, away from home. He was also my confidante off-cam, and if I needed an ally, I could certainly count on him.”
Sheryl Cruz gave a shout out to her fellow Wednesday group mates and thanked German Moreno’s family for changing the course of her life at a young age.
“To my fellow Wednesday group mates, keep safe. And though we don’t talk or often see each other as often as we’d like to, all of you are part of my memories. Keep safe everyone in ‘That’s Entertainment’ as well as my colleagues in ‘Super Show.’”
“Finally, to the family of Kuya Germs, thank you for including me in your showbiz family. Maligayang kaarawan sa nag-iisang master showman, German Moreno. Mananatili kayong nasa puso at isipan ko.”
