Isko Moreno, German Moreno’s Son Continue Master Showman’s Legacy
GERMAN MORENO – The son of the late iconic star-builder German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, Federico Moreno, and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will continue Master Showman’s legacy.
Before entering politics, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso was a known name in the Philippine entertainment industry. He started his showbiz career in German Moreno’s a.k.a. show “That’s Entertainment.”
The mayor said he treated the late tv host like his second father and a mentor. Master Showman passed away on January 8, 2016, due to cardiac arrest.
German Moreno’s legacy in the country’s show business is enormous. He’s one of the best talk show host with the programs “Daig ng mga Artista sa Television” and “Superstar” with Nora Aunor.
Moreno hosted different shows of the Kapuso network such as Negosiyete: Mag-aral Sa GMA, Germside, Germspesyal, That’s Entertainment, Super in GMA, GMA Supershow, and Walang Tulugan With The Master Showman.
The late iconic star-builder also produced hit drama series such as “Ganti,” “Ikaw, Ako at Ang Awit,” “Kung Mayroon Mang Pangarap,” “Dalawang Ina,” “Larawan ng Isang Ina,” “Ina,” “Dalawang Pag-ibig,” and “Sa Paglinaw Ng Tubig.”
Based on a report from GMA News, German Moreno’s son Federico Moreno decided to create a new mobile app called ‘Supershow’ to help new talents. He said the app was conceptualized in 2018 when he was asked by a friend to find a wedding singer.
After that, he started doing research by asking bar owners, singers, parents needing magicians or clowns, and event organizers. He later found out that most of them had the same problem.
It prompted him to create the ‘Supershow’ app. It is seamless, convenient, reliable, and easy to find talents. “This app is one way of continuing my father’s legacy in helping the industry by helping talents get bookings and discovering new ones,” he said.
According to the report, Federico Moreno spoke to Isko Moreno and asked if he could be part of the project. The mayor wholeheartedly agreed to the collab. The politician said this is his way of honoring German Moreno and helping new talents.
