Has Keempee de Leon moved from issue with GMA-7’s Eat Bulaga?
KEEMPEE DE LEON – Former Kapuso television host Keempee de Leon spoke on his previous issue with GMA-7’s Eat Bulaga! program.
One of the longtime TV hosts of the GMA-7 noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! is Keempee de Leon. He is the son of actor-comedian Joey de Leon who is one of the mainstays in the said Kapuso program.
However, it is no secret to the public that Keempee had an issue with the management of the program. While he was still a host of the Kapuso program, he asked permission to do a TV series.
According to Keempee, he was allowed and they agreed that he will return after the TV series. However, after the TV series ended in June 2017, he was never called again to be back on Eat Bulaga!
Keempee de Leon is now with Kapuso’s rival network, the ABS-CBN. Recently, speaking at the finale press conference of the Kapamilya TV series Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit, he spoke regarding his past issue with GMA-7’s Eat Bulaga! and the management.
Based on a report on Pep, Keempee de Leon revealed that he and the management of Eat Bulaga! do not have a closure. He expressed that he just had to “let it go”.
According to the TV host-actor, he cannot move on if he will just cling on to the issue. He is also grateful that if it is not because of what happened, he will not receive the offer from the Kapamilya network.
“Thankful lang ako. Kumbaga, pinasa-Diyos ko na lang… Everything happes for a reason,” he said based on the report.
When asked if his decision to transfer to ABS-CBN was right, Keempee answered on the affirmative. He even tagged himself as “thankful and blessed” over the opportunity to be back as Kapamilya.
