German “Kuya Germs” Moreno Suffers Mild Stroke

Comedian and TV host German Moreno or also known as “Kuya Germs” suffered from mild stroke yesterday, January 2, 2015. He is currently at the Acute Stroke Care Unit (ASCU) of St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

In a message sent to Pep.ph’s Gorgy Rula, the son of German Moreno, Federico Moreno said that their family is asking for the prayers of public for the fast recovery of his father.

“His right leg is at 50% mobility. 0% on his right arm and a bit slurry on his speech. We humbly ask for your prayers for his quick recovery. Pls pray for Papa,” he said.

Frederico Moreno also said that his father is now doing fine but he cannot entertain calls and guests for the mean time. He also asked for their understanding. “Don’t worry, he’s OK. “It’s just that he cannot entertain any calls nor guests for the coming days. Hope you understand,” he further said.

German Moreno rose to fame when he became the host of the Sunday noontime variety show, “GMA Supershow” in 1970. He also became the host and producer of the long-running youth-oriented show “That’s Entertainment.”

German Moreno is also the host of the late-night show “Walang Tulugan” which airs every Saturday on network giant, GMA-7 after “I-Witness.”
