Barbie Imperial, JM De Guzman Patched Things Up
BARBIE IMPERIAL – Actress Barbie Imperial shared some details about reconciliation with JM De Guzman.
Kapamilya actors JM De Guzman and Barbie Imperial got close when they are paired in the afternoon tv series “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi.” The actor said he tried to court his co-star after their show went off the air.
De Guzman told host Boy Abunda that they dated not longer than one month. “I tried to pursue her,” he said.
Barbie Imperial opened up about her relationship with JM De Guzman during an interview with “Tonight With Boy Abunda” last year. She explained what went wrong between her and the actor. She admitted she and her leading man did not work out because it was hard to fix another person while in the process of healing.

In an interview with DJ Jhai Ho for Hotspot, Barbie Imperial shared details about reconciliation with JM De Guzman. Based on a report from PUSH, she happily shared that they are now friends.
“Okay kami. As in, [masasabi ko ngayon na] friends kami. Kasi dati nasabi ko na hindi ko siya kayang maging kaibigan. Ganun naman talaga ‘pag nasaktan ka ‘di ba. Parang hindi mo kaya pang maging kaibigan ‘yung isang tao…”
“Napatunayan naman na timing lang talaga kasi kami nga ni JM, ‘di ba, ate, ang tagal bago kami nagka-batian talaga. Masasabi ko na friends kami, pero ‘di naman kami ‘yung friends na nagu-usap. ‘Di kami nag-uusap, like, friends lang talaga. ‘Yun lang. Happy kami na naging friends pa rin kami kahit na medyo may nangyari before,” she added.
According to the report, Barbie Imperial also shared some details on how she and JM De Guzman patched things up. She said they bumped into each other at a funeral.
“Alam naman nating lahat na medyo nagka-thing kami ni JM, pero nawala rin siya. Never naging kami. Siguro naging rough siya, at first. Naging magulo after, but after naman ng ilang months, naging okay kami. Actually, after nung gulo na ‘yun, nagkita kami recently, na hindi naman namin plinano, sa [isang burol]…”
“Hindi naman namin in-expect na magbabatian kami. ‘Yun, hi, hello. Ganito ganyan. And then, parang kailangan magpagpag. So, kasama namin sina Direk Ruel [Bayani], na parang sinabi nila na, ‘Tara, pagpag tayo.’ Nagpagpag kami. Kumain kami. Andun din si JM,” she said.
