Barbie Imperial shared her thoughts about being the Tanduay Calendar Girl 2020
Kapamilya actress Barbie Imperial talked about being the Tanduay Calendar Girl 2020 during the launching event.
Every year, the local liquor company features a female celebrity to be its calendar girl. For next year, Barbie was chosen and this made her fans ecstatic. Several of her fellow celebrities also congratulated her for landing on this stint.
During the recent launching, Barbie shared how she can relate to Tanduay’s slogan ‘Tibay ng Loob’ because of what she went through in life. “Bata pa lang po ako, madami na po kaming napagdaanan ng family ko,” she shared. The actress added that she needed to be strong in order to overcome those hardships she encountered.
Since she was not born with a silver spoon, Barbie said that she had to work hard, especially in her showbiz career. She said that she started in the industry taking roles that did not have lines. The actress would just appear on the screen as an extra.
Eventually, she landed on roles with dialogues already and there came a time that she was able to have lead roles until she starred in TV series. It can be recalled that the biggest break, so far, that Barbie had was her TV series with JM de Guzman titled Araw Gabi. Through that, people saw her ability and her fandom even grew bigger.
