Iloilo COVID-19 Task Force Confirms Child Died of Coronavirus
CHILD – A 2-year-old patient of coronavirus in Iloilo died of the disease as confirmed by the Iloilo City COVID-19 Task Force.
Undeniably, the COVID-19 pandemic is persisting in the Philippines. There are huge daily increases in the total count of coronavirus cases in the country for several days now.
As per the records of the Department of Health (DOH), the total coronavirus cases recorded in the country is at 173,774 now. It includes 113,481 recoveries and 2,795 deaths.
To curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country, community quarantine measures are still up. The measure in Metro Manila was recently eased from Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) to General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Everyone is encouraged to stay at home if not for very essential purposes like going to work or buying some food. Furthermore, the wearing of a face mask and social distancing are part of the protocols now.
Iloilo is one of the provinces with confirmed cases of COVID-19. It has implemented strict measures amid the rising of its coronavirus cases.
Unfortunately, recently, a 2-year-old child in Iloilo died of COVID-19. Based on a report on Daily Guardian, Iloilo City COVID-19 Task Force spokesman Jeck Conlu confirmed the heartbreaking news.
The said child who succumbed to COVID-19 is a resident of Lapuz district as to the report. It was last August 15 when the patient who tested positive for coronavirus underwent swab testing.
