12-Year-Old Fashion Designer Makes Masks For COVID-19 Frontliners

COVID-19 – A young fashion designer created stylish face masks for COVID-18 frontliners.

Governments and billionaires are stepping up to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The deadly virus has impacted the economy and the way how people live their lives. All classes were suspended while workers were urged to work in their homes amid lockdown.

Fashion designers from different parts of the world are also fighting the coronavirus. In a previous article, Pinay fashion designer Mich Dulce help the office of Vice President Leni Robredo in producing more personal protective equipment (PPE) for the frontliners.

Recently, a 12-year-old fashion designer named Ashlyn So made rounds on social media after she created a stylish face mask for the medical workers. She is using her sewing skills to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on a report from ABC7news, the designs of the young girl was featured at New York Fashion Week. The pandemic didn’t stop her from showing off her passion for passion.

According to the report, for every stylish face mask, So sells, two (2) will be donated to medical workers. She said a store donated her fabrics while others gave money to sponsor her other supplies.

“Some people have been donating fabric and they’ve also been helping by donating money so we can use it to buy supplies… it makes me feel really happy and really glad that I can help!” she said.

Based on the report, the young artist can make 20 stylish face masks a day and has already made 200 masks. She aims to make 500 face masks.
