Veteran TV host Willie Revillame has launched a “free ride” for our fellow commuters affected by the extremely high price of oil, and recently he led the test-drive of the “Wilyonaryo” buses.
Last week, the veteran TV host announced that he had arranged buses to provide free rides amid the oil crisis the country has been experiencing since the war in the Middle East began.
With the help of his friends, 10 mini buses will travel to provide free rides to passengers this Holy Week, based on the article in Bandera.
On the official Facebook page of Willie Revillame’s new show “Wilyonaryo,” it states that the goal of the project is to reduce the daily hardships passengers face.
In the video, Willie said that he wanted to test drive the buses to ensure that once the program is officially launched, there will be no problem anymore. Then, they will turn over the buses to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

It was also stated that this Libreng Sakay program became possible with the collaboration between Willie and his friends to alleviate the people’s worry when it comes to their daily transportation needs.
“Libre. Walang bayad. Ngiti n’yo lang, sapat na! Sa panahon na kailangan magtulungan, nandito kami, inyong maaasahan. Maraming salamat po sa LTFRB at MMDA para sa inyong pagtanggap at suporta,” the caption stated.
In the video, Willie Revillame was also seen giving away jackets to the people on the street, which is his trademark, and he also posed for photos with his fans. Several netizens expressed gratitude to the veteran TV host and his friends for this kind of initiative to help other people. “Salamat kuya willie binahagi ang mga blessing nakamit,” a netizen commented.
