PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 14, 2020 (Friday).

The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula. Flash floods or landslides might occur due to light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to ITCZ or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, the eastern section of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light winds that are moving in the northeast to various direction while facing slight coastal waters.
