PAGASA – ITCZ To Affect Visayas And Mindanao This August 13, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 13, 2020 (Thursday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will affect Visayas and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA. Flash floods or landslides might occur due to moderate with occasionally heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, the bureau is still observing an active Tropical Cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The weather disturbance was last spotted at about 1,260 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon as of 2 AM.

It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour with gusts of up to 55 kilometers per hour. It is moving in the west southwest direction at 15 kilometers per hour.

For the wind speed forecast, Luzon will have moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing moderate coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing moderate coastal waters.
