PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 12, 2020 (Wednesday).

The latest update from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with occasionally heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, the bureau observed a Tropical Depression which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The weather bureau was last seen at 1,740 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon.

It is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. It is moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour.

For the wind speed forecast, Luzon will have moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing moderate waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing slight to moderate waters.
