Former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim’s Chief of Staff Speaks on His Condition

ALFREDO LIM – The camp of the former Manila Mayor issued a statement about his health condition now.

More than 200 countries and territories are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic now. One of the Asian countries that confirmed cases of the disease is the Philippines.

In PH, the total coronavirus cases recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) has already exceeded 122,000 as of this writing. Community quarantine measures are still up in the country.

In fact, due to the recent surge in the cases wherein DOH recorded at least 3,000 cases daily in the past few days, several areas were placed back to a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). The health workers called for an ECQ following the increasing cases of COVID-19.

Several public servants contracted the disease. It is known that the senior citizens and those who are immuno-compromised are more prone to it but several cases also proved that it can infect even the younger and healthy ones.

One of the prominent personalities who reportedly contracted COVID-19 is former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim. It was confirmed by his grandson on social media based on a report on Pep.

Recently, the camp of former Mayor Alfredo Lim gave an update about the former Manila Mayor’s condition now. Based on the report, it was released by his Chief of Staff, Ric de Guzman.

The camp of the former Mayor appealed for privacy as they focus on the recovery of his illness. According to de Guzman, the former Mayor is “very much alive” and he’s making progress while being confined in a hospital.

“I hope this puts to rest all misinformation that he had passed away and a stop to negative speculations about his health.It is not helping him and the family any,” he said.
