PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, August 7, 2020 (Friday).

The latest weather update from the state bureau says that the Low Pressure Area was last seen at about 325 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 520 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.

The southwest monsoon or habagat, on the other hand, will affect southern Luzon and Visayas.

According to GMA News, the trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Central and eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides due to moderate with occasionally heavy rain showers.

Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA and Western Visayas.

Again, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides due to moderate with occasionally heavy rain showers.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides in these areas may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds that are moving in the southwest to southeast direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

Mindanao will have slight to moderate winds that are moving in the southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
