PCOO Personnel Who Contracted COVID-19 Now Reaches 10
PCOO PERSONNEL – Ten (10) personnel of the Presidential Communications Operations Office tested positive for COVID-19.
The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is not over. There are still new cases daily thus everyone must not put his or her guards down.
In the Philippines, a total of 76,444 cases of coronavirus were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) as of this writing. The health department has recorded 1,879 deaths and 24,502 recoveries out of the said number.
Amid the fight against COVID-19, several government employees have contracted the disease. Among them are staffers of the Presidential Communications Operations Office.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar revealed that 10 PCOO employees tested positive for COVID-19. Among them are Malacañang staffers.
According to the report, the said 10 PCOO personnel are among the staff of the Malacañang Palace who contracted the disease with two (2) employees assigned at the broadcast office.
Andanar assured the families of the personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 and the people that the office is abiding by the protocols under confirmed cases. Currently, an “intensified contact tracing” is conducted to curb the spread of the disease.
The PCOO office’s “physical work” operation is suspended amid the ongoing disinfection at the New Executive Building (NEB) in Malacañang. Meanwhile, work continues for the staffers in a home setting.
Aside from the said 10 employees of PCOO who tested positive for COVID-19, eight (8) staff members of Vice President Leni Robredo have also tested positive for the disease.
