Sen. Gatchalian Reacts To PCOO News Release

PCOO – The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) corrected the name of Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on a news release.

Undeniably, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian is one of the personalities in the political arena who is active on social media. Previously, based on a report, there was an instance when the politician responded to a netizen who called him and Sen. Angara ‘trapo’.

Recently, following the PCOO’s news release that got his name wrong, Sen. Gatchalian used the online platform to express his reaction. The said news release is about the signing of the deal on the free college education.

On his Twitter account, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian posted a photo of the news release with an emphasis on his name. He was referred in the news release as “Sen. Winston Gatchalian”.

Based on a report in PhilStar, broadcaster Arnold Clavio has informed PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar about the mistake on the news release. Andanar responded that it has already been corrected and they are making adjustments in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

According to Andanar, Usec. Marvin Gatpayat and Usec. Lorraine Badoy are the ones on top of the changes that will be made. A meeting with the team will be held.
