Wilbert Ross made a revelation about a certain personality
Actor-singer and dancer Wilbert Ross vividly remembers how a certain personality blocked projects intended for him.
Wilbert rose to fame as part of the boy group Hashtags in 2017 on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime. From that, he was able to have small acting parts in various projects.
One of these prominent roles as a supporting actor was in Hello, Love, Goodbye in 2019. He also ventured into mature roles in the projects under the Vivamax streaming platform, and eventually, he had his wholesome roles.
He was paired with actress Bea Binene, and they became the WillBea loveteam and featured in Ang Lalaki sa Likod ng Profile.
Based on the article in Bandera, Wilbert Ross had additional challenges he faced in his showbiz career. He recently celebrated his 10th anniversary through a concert titled “WRten By Wilbert Ross,” held at the New Frontier Theater, and it was a success.
In an interview with Wilbert on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, he admitted that his showbiz journey was not easy because of someone who kept trying to bring him down.
“May parang isa sa mga taong ayaw ako sa isang show ko before. Parang bina-block niya po lahat ng opportunity. Parang minsan sa Showtime, kasi sumasayaw po ako, nasa harap ako, biglang lilipat sa likod, sa segments po parang pinapatanggal,” Wilbert shared.
He added that there were instances when he was supposed to be part of certain programs, only to be suddenly replaced by another member of their group, Hashtags. The actor also mentioned instances where he was not allowed to promote his shows on “It’s Showtime.”
Instead of losing hope, Wilbert Ross simply continued with his career. “Ginagalingan ko lang po. I’m very careful na hindi ako ma-late, hindi ako magkamali kasi para hindi magkaroon ng rason na tanggalin ako,” he said.
