Kris Bernal Says She’s Protecting Staff’s Safety During COVID-19 Pandemic
KRIS BERNAL – GMA-7 actress Kris Bernal announced that she and her fiance will be closing their restaurant amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Filipina actress Kris Bernal is known for winning the 4th season of GMA-7’s reality-based talent search StarStruck. She famous for her roles she played in films and shows such as “Mag-Ingat Ka Sa Kulam,” “Dyesebel,” “Impostora,” and “Ang Panday 2.”
The Kapuso actress joined the growing list of celebs who have ventured into business. In 2016, Kris opened her burger joint in Quezon City, Meat Kris.
In 2017, Kris Bernal and her fiancé Perry Choi opened their samgyupsal restaurant “House of Gogi.” The couple recently decided to temporarily close their restaurant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On March 15, they stopped the operation of their restaurant following President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s declaration of enhanced community quarantine. Last May 24, they reopened their business for takeout delivery services.

In a post on her Instagram account last July 11, Kris Bernal announced that they will be closing their samgyupsal restaurant “until further notice.” She said “2020 is not a year to make a profit. Just make sure to stay alive.”
The 31-year-old celebrity added their staff’s safety is their priority right now. She also thanked the people who supported their businesses.
“While our goal is to serve you the best Korean dishes, our staff’s safety is our top priority right now. The increasing number of positive cases is alarming, and we should do our best to prevent the spread of the virus. Hence, we’ll be temporarily closing #HouseofGogiBanawe until further notice,” she wrote.
