Anti-Graft Court Closes After 2 Sandiganbayan Employees Tested Positive for COVID-19
SANDIGANBAYAN EMPLOYEES – Two (2) employees of the anti-graft court were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
The Philippines is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic now. It is one of the over 200 countries and territories with confirmed cases of the said disease that killed more than half a million now.
In the Philippines, 54,222 cases of coronavirus were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH). According to the health department, 14,037 of these patients have already recovered while 1,372 died.
The whole country is still under a community quarantine now. Most of the areas are under a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) while Cebu City is under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and Metro Manila under GCQ.

Amid the increasing COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, several government agencies and institutions have closed to give way for disinfection. It was after an employee(s) tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
Based on a report on GMA News, the Sandiganbayan will also be closed starting today, July 13. The decision was made after two (2) Sandiganbayan employees tested positive for COVID-19.
The presiding judge of the anti-graft court, Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang, released a memo over the temporary closure of the court. According to the report, it is to give way for the “contact tracing” or monitoring of the health of the employees of the court.
Meanwhile, despite the closure of the anti-graft court, the justices, officials, and employees will be under alternative work arrangements thus work continues. The public may also reach out to the anti-graft court through its contact details posted on its website.
