Vice Ganda is ecstatic with his recent movie success
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda said that the success of his movie Call Me Mother was “super extra special.”
This movie was Vice’s entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025. Through his performance in this drama movie, he was able to get the Best Actor award. The movie also did well when it came to the blockbuster earnings.
The cast and crew of the film recently had their thanksgiving gathering, based on the article in ABS-CBN. Vice expressed how grateful he is for the success of Call Me Mother, directed by Jun Robles Lana, and also starred actress Nadine Lustre.

Vice Ganda said that he has proven over and over again how his home network supports him. “Paulit-ulit ko ring napapatunayan na hindi pala ganoon kababaw ang pagmamahal sa akin ng ABS-CBN talaga. Ang lala nang pagmamahal niyo sa akin,” he said.
The comedian-host was appreciative of the love that his home network is giving to him, which is true and not just on the prodessional level.
“Pagmamahal na hindi one time big time. ‘Yun ang naramdaam ko kay direk Jun (Lana), kay direk Perci (Intalan) at sa lahat ng tao niyo,” Vice said. He also commended The IdeaFirst Company of the filmmaker for providing an efficient and fun working atmosphere.
During the thanksgiving gathering, it was announced that the film officially grossed P392 million worldwide. This is as of February 5.

Vice Ganda thanked Direk Jun Lana for giving him his first MMFF Best Actor trophy. The comedian-host appreciated how the director took good care of him while filming.
“Hindi naman sa pagyayabang, I have been able to experience being the No. 1 movie sa Metro Manila Film Festival for so many times, pero first time ko naging Best Actor,” he said.
He could not be more thankful for this great opportunity to have a new experience in showbiz.
“Salamat at sa edad kong ito at sa tagal ko nang gumagawa ng pelikula na paranasan mo ako ng isang bagong-bago, masarap na pangyayari sa buhay ko. Ang saya,” he said. Vice Ganda also expressed gratitude to everyone who became part of this project.
