Delivery Rider Died in a Shooting Incident in Cavite During Buy-Bust Operation

DELIVERY RIDER – Authorities shot him dead after he exchanges gunfire during the buy-bust operation in General Tria, Cavite, Friday.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN, the police operatives pretended to buy illegal drugs to the said suspect. According to Police Capt. Hilario Lacaste Jr., chief of Gen. Trias police said authorities met with the suspect in Barangay Bacao 2.

However, after the transaction, the suspect felt strange and suspect his customers as police. As a result, the delivery rider fired a gun at the police which leads to exchanges of gunshots.

The suspect was killed. Fortunately, no police were hit on the said shooting incident. According to police, the suspect used the delivery app to deliver drugs to clients.

The authorities recovered a .45 caliber handgun, motorcycle, and ID. The operation also claimed P60,000 worth of suspected drugs from the suspect.
