New COVID-19 Patient in Bacolod City A 32-Year-Old Driver
BACOLOD – A 32-year-old driver in the city tested positive for the coronavirus or COVID-19 RT-PCT testing.
The entire Philippines is still under a community quarantine now due to coronavirus. The high risk areas including Metro Manila are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
With regards to the low and medium risk areas, they are under a Modified GCQ now. Everyone must not be complacent as the fight against the spread of the disease continues.
It is now a protocol to wear face mask when going outdoors. Also, social distancing must be observed even in public vehicles.
Bacolod City is one of the cities under a Modified GCQ now. Recently, an update in line with the COVID-19 cases in the city crossed the surface. Based on a report on TV Patrol Negros, a 32-year-old driver tested positive in coronavirus RT-PCT testing.
According to Dr. Grace Tan, the patient is a resident of Barangay Bata. He experienced flu-like symptoms starting May 25.
Based on the report, the patient went through a COVID-19 rapid testing last June 5. His result was released this morning and he is positive for the disease.
The patient is set to be transferred to a quarantine facility in the city. A contact tracing is conducted now. More updates may be posted soon.
