BONGBONG MARCOS – The President ordered the creation of a crisis committee amid the Middle East war as per the MalacaƱang.

The war between the United States, Israel, and Iran is ongoing and many other countries are feeling the impact of the situation. In the Philippines, pump prices have gone up thrice already since the war broke as the country relies heavily on imported gas.

The oil costs soared came amid the claim of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that the Philippines has sufficient food and petroleum supply. According to the Chief Executive, there is no need for hoarding of supplies and the government will extend help to the Filipinos amid the situation.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos also assured that he’s already talking with other countries in the search for oil supply. According to him, a lot of nations committed to help the Philippines.

Amid the ongoing Middle East war, Pres. Bongbong Marcos directed the establishment of the crisis committee as per MalacaƱang. The order of the Chief Executive came amid the Middle East war disrupting global oil shipments and causing sharp increases in fuel prices In the Philippines, the Peso also fell to historic lows amid the situation in Iran.

According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro, the order of Pres. Bongbong Marcos for the creation of a crisis committee was made ahead of outside suggestions to form such a body.

“Ito po ay tututok lalong-lalo na kung ano ba ang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan. Paano hindi mapuputol ang supply ng ating mga pangangailangan sa oil, sa fuel at sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan,” Castro said.
