Father Carrying Firewood Frightened of Being Arrested Received Help Instead

A nervous father frightened of getting arrested after policemen halted him while carrying a load of firewood but instead of arrest he received help.

In a Facebook post of Isko Moreno Domagaso Supporters, showing a confrontation of policemen patrolling and a father walking on the street carrying firewood to bring it to his family.

According to the post, policemen halted the father who supposed to go home with firewood due enhanced community quarantine violations and he was seen not wearing mask. In the conversation post, the police told the father to put down what he was carrying.

But the exhausted father won’t do it because of fear that they might not have a fire to use in their house. The policeman insisted saying “Wag Matigas ang ulo”.

Frightened of getting arrested, the man doesn’t know what would these police do to him. Later on, he felt relieved after policemen told him “Hayaan mong tulungan ka namin, ikarga sa sasakyan yang mabigat mong dala at ihahatid ka.”

According to them, they gave 5kilo of rice, canned goods and other necessities and offer to bring him home with his bunch of firewood to avoid him walking on the street amid health crisis.

Over the past few days, there are lots of assaulting reports between law enforcers and enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) violators, mostly in Metro Manila. Reports where violators are being assaulted law enforcers and law enforcers are also being assaulted by arrogant violators.

However, there are still good and considerate law enforcers who are willing to help poor people going outside and are forced to violate ECQ guidelines due to the pitiful situation amid the public health crisis.

Meanwhile, the act of kindness of these policemen has gone viral on social media as many netizens lauded them. They earned praises and netizens admired them for helping poor people going out instead of arresting them.
