DOH Update on COVID-19 in PH
DOH – The Department of Health released an update about the COVID-19 in the Philippines today, April 28.
Luzon and several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are currently under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). It is due to the coronavirus or COVID-19, a pandemic.
The said pandemic has infected over three (3) million people across the globe. Unfortunately, over 200,000 people died due to the said disease. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the battle against it will take a long time.
In the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared a state of calamity in the whole country. Local government units were ordered to assist their constituents amid the health crisis.
The Department of Health and the authorities remind the people to stay at home to prevent the spread of the disease. In the country, the disease has already claimed over 500 lives.
Every day, the DOH releases an updates regarding the COVID-19 status in the Philippines. For today, April 28, 2020, there are 181 new coronavirus according to the health department. It brings the total to 7,958.
With regards to the death toll, there is now a total of 530 coronavirus deaths recorded in the country including the 19 new deaths recorded today. On the positive side, 43 patients have recovered from the disease bringing the total recoveries to 975.
