New COVID-19 Case Recorded in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental; Patient From Banago
BACOLOD CITY NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran confirmed that a resident of Barangay Banago tested positive for COVID-19.
Currently, one of the provinces in Visayas that is under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to coronavirus or COVID-19 is Negros Occidental.
The ECQ is set to expire this April 30 but Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson want to extend it to one (1) more week after two (2) cases of coronavirus were recently confirmed in the province.
A man who went home to La Castellana from Iloilo tested positive for the disease. The tracing of the people he had a contact with is still ongoing amid allegations that there is an untold part of where he went upon arrival from Iloilo.
Following it, the result of a patient from Bacolod who died last April 9 came. The 69-year-old patient who expired tested positive for the disease.
Recently, Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran confirmed that another case of COVID-19 was recorded in the city. The patient, a 65-year-old resident of Barangay Banago, is the 9th patient of coronavirus in Bacolod.
Based on a report of TV Patrol Negros, the patient is a resident of Purok Bayanihan in Barangay Banago. The Vice Mayor expressed that the patient has no travel history and only went for a check-up upon experiencing symptoms.
Based on the post, the patient is still in his residence now. The CHO is set to go to the residence of the patient for the isolation.
