Soldiers’ Punishment for Stubborn Motorists Violating ECQ

STUBBORN MOTORISTS – Here’s how the soldiers at COVID-19 checkpoints punish the stubborn motorists.

The Philippine government and health officials are doing their best to end the 2019 novel coronavirus crisis in the country. They have placed “enhanced community quarantine” to halt the spread of the virus.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte released P275 billion COVID-19 response funds to aid the poor families affected by the ECQ. Recently, he decided to extend the quarantine period following the increase of positive cases in the country.

Meanwhile, the soldiers and cops at checkpoints are having a hard time with some motorists. Based on a report from Inquirer, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced on Wednesday, April 15, that the government will enforce stricter quarantine guidelines for motorists.

He said President Duterte ordered stricter measures after the increasing number of road traffic and COVID-19 violators in Luzon. The Philippine National Police reported 108,088 violators.

On Thursday, April 16, photos of motorists who violated the ECQ went viral on social media. The photo was posted on the Facebook Page of ‘DashCam Philippines.’

It can be seen in the viral photo that the stubborn motorists were punished by the frontliners. It came with a caption, “Mag motor kayo maghapon dyan dahil matigas ang ulo niyo at nagmotor pa kayo sa labas.”

The World Health Organization (WHO) said we can beat the deadly virus by staying at home. The virus from China has spread to 210 countries around the world.
