Singer Pink shared her coronavirus experience

Pop singer Pink revealed that she tested positive for novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) through her recent Instagram post.

Pink popularized hit songs such as Just Give Me A Reason, What About Us, and True Love. Just like other parts of the world, the United States of America also implemented lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The American singer shared that they were already sheltering at their home when she and her daughter started showing the coronavirus symptoms. That was two weeks ago. “Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive,” the singer shared.

Because of that, they extended their quarantine for the last two weeks. “Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative,” Pink added. She also said that the government should make the COVID-19 testing widely accessible.

With this, singer Pink called the attention of the public to take the illness seriously because this affects “the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor.”

Pink also expressed her appreciation to the frontliners by donating. $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency Fund in Philadelphia in honor of her mother.

She will also donate another $500,000 to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund. The singer is grateful for the healthcare professionals who have been doing their jobs amid the outbreak.

Meanwhile, Hollywood A-list actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson recovered from COVID-19. They were in Australia for the production of a still-untitled movie about the legendary singer Elvis Presley.
