COVID-19 UPDATE – Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Cezar Quiambao and his wife tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019.
On Wednesday (April 1, 2020), Mayor Cezar Quiambao released an official statement on his Facebook page claiming that he and his wife Niña Jose tested positive for the COVID-19. The couple had decided to get tested last March 16, 2020.
Mayor Quiambao said that they have observed 14-day quarantine and received medical treatment from health experts. He also said that the doctors believe that they have already recovered.
“During our 14-day quarantine, we confirmed that we were both positive so we received proper treatment from the doctors who believe that we have now recovered,” Quiambao said.
However, it was still unclear if the Pangasinan town mayor and his wife have fully recovered. The two would undergo another 14-day self-quarantine to prevent the possible spread of the deadly virus.
